As part of the normal operation of our services, We collect, and in some cases may disclose, ONLY WITH YOUR PRIOR EXPRESS CONSENT, information about You. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into, and subject to, the terms of The BIO Notifier Terms and Conditions.

1. Information We Collect

Our primary goal in collecting personal information is so that We can alert You to opportunities to become an investigator in a clinical trial. The gathering of Your Practice Profile allows Us to ensure that You will be contacted periodically by BBK about clinical trial opportunities appropriate to Your medical specialty. You agree that We may review Your Practice Profile so that We can match it to a study in Your medical specialty. Your Practice Profile is confidential, and will not be shared with third parties without Your expressed prior written consent.

Please note that Your Practice Profile will be stored and processed on Our computers in the United States. The laws regarding the handling of personal data in the United States may differ from the laws of other countries; but, as We explain below, BBK will hold and transmit Your Practice Profile in a safe, confidential, and secure environment.

2. Our Use of Your Information

You agree that We may use Your Practice Profile information to contact You and to alert You to clinical trial opportunities and other communications relevant to Your use of this service. By accepting this Privacy Policy, You expressly agree to receive this information. If You do not wish to receive these communications, You may opt out of the receipt of communications. If You have any questions, You may communicate with Us through our Contact Us page.

3. Our Disclosure of Your Information

As a matter of policy, We do not sell or rent any personally identifiable information about You or Your Practice to any third party. As well, We use industry standard practices to protect Your privacy; however, We do not promise, and You should not expect, that Your Practice Profile will always remain private. By way of example (without limiting any of the foregoing):

Government Entities. We may be required to disclose information to government entities, law enforcement agencies, or third parties. Under certain circumstances, third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications, or Members may abuse or misuse Your information that they collect from Our Web sites.

Legal Requests. BBK cooperates with law enforcement inquiries, as well as other third parties, to enforce laws such as: intellectual property rights, fraud, and other rights. We can (and You authorize Us to) disclose any information about You to law enforcement and other government officials as We, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate, in connection with any investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement, or other activity that is illegal or that may expose Us or You to legal liability.

4. Accessing, Reviewing, and Changing Your Profile

Following registration, You can review and change the information that You submitted during the registration process. If You change Your password and e-mail address, We will retain a record of Your previous password(s) and e-mail address(es). You can also change Your information such as: name, address, city, state, ZIP/postal code, country, phone number, and e-mail.

Upon Your notification that You wish to opt out of The BIO Notifier, We will remove Your Profile from our active databases as soon as reasonably possible in accordance with Our policy and applicable law.

We will retain in Our files information that You have requested be removed from Our active databases for certain purposes, such as to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, and enforce our Terms and Conditions. Further, such prior information may never be completely removed from Our databases due to technical and legal constraints, including stored “back up” systems. Therefore, You should not expect that all of Your personally identifiable information will be completely removed from our databases in response to any request that You may submit.

5. Control of Your Password

You are responsible for all actions taken with Your login information and password. Therefore, we do not recommend that You disclose Your BIO Notifier password or login information to any third party. If You choose to share this information with any third party, You are responsible for all actions taken with Your login information and password. If Your password has been compromised in any way, You should immediately change Your password.

6. Security

Whenever We store or transmit Your Practice Profile, We use a number of security procedures to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure. This Web site has security measures in place intended to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under Our control. We will take reasonable steps to safeguard personally identifiable information that We collect from unauthorized access or disclosure and from accidental loss, alteration, or destruction.

We use appropriate technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect data that pertains to You from loss, misuse, or alteration. In addition, We take steps to ensure that Our safeguards take into account new known threats.
